Three ways to organize your Notion dashboard (without overcomplicating it)

I’ve seen dozens of Notion dashboards that look beautiful but collect dust. The problem isn’t the tool — it’s overcomplication. If your workspace requires a manual to navigate, you won’t use it.

Start with a single page. A home dashboard should show exactly what you need today: tasks, upcoming events, and a quick note area. That’s it. Add more only when you feel friction.

Second, use databases sparingly. A project tracker with 15 properties isn’t helping anyone. Stick to 3-5 key fields: status, priority, due date. You can always add more later.

Finally, embrace templates. Instead of building from scratch, duplicate a proven structure. It’s like planting a seedling instead of waiting for a seed to grow.
